Ingredient Sales Account Manager
An Ingredient Sales Account Manager is primarily responsible for developing relationships with prospective new customers while also maintaining relationships with existing customers. They will be charged with promoting the Devenish brand awareness in an effort to deliver ingredient sales to the livestock industry. This individual will be self-motivated to communicate directly with producers, feed mills, and other categories of prospects; while introducing the extensive product list and services that Devenish has to offer. With an ethos around partnership and fulfilling the wants and needs of our customers, the Ingredient Sales Account Manager will work directly with each customer to determine which of Devenish’s products bring value to their specific situation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Gain a full commercial understanding of the Devenish ingredient product list
- Communicate with prospective new customers to identify mutually beneficial sales opportunities
- Maintain consistent interactions with other members of the Ingredient Sales Team to identify potential synergies
- Assist in the development of new ingredient offerings that might be beneficial for our customer base
- Functional involvement with all personnel directly involved in sales of Devenish products — Customer Service, Operations, Logistics, Accounting, etc.
Administrative Support:
- Understand nutritional aspects and technical value of all Devenish product offerings
- Work with admin and operations staff to aid in efficient customer service
- Research product or service offering opportunities
Other:
- Any other specific requests as deemed necessary by management
Qualifying Skills and Attributes:
- Knowledge of feed, feed ingredients, feed supplements, animal husbandry, and basic animal nutrition
- Exceptional time management, positive communication skills, self-motivated, and desire to work as part of a team
- 3-5 years of relevant sales experience
Compensation Rage:
- $90,000 – $120,000
Reports To: Feed Ingredient Sales Director
