Ruminant Nutritionist — Beef Focus

Technical and Administrative Support:

Develop expertise in the nutritional aspects and technical value of all Devenish technologies.
Collaborate with administrative and operations teams to enhance customer service, production, and logistics efficiency.
Assist in formulating customer diets, rations, and closeout reports as needed.
Research and evaluate product offerings in comparison to competitors.
Perform other duties as reasonably required.

Field Support & Sales:

Support and expand the existing customer base while identifying new business opportunities.
Assess customer needs and recommend Devenish technologies or services to add value and drive revenue growth.
Stay informed on competitor products and develop differentiation strategies for Devenish offerings.
Assist in marketing Devenish technologies to the ruminant market, both directly and through Account Managers.
Perform other duties as reasonably required.

Research & Product Development:

Work closely with Marketing, Sales, and Technical teams to develop accurate and compelling marketing materials.
Collaborate with the Nutrition and Product Development Teams to identify and drive new product innovation opportunities.
Lead monthly beef meetings scheduled on the first Friday of each month.
Perform other duties as reasonably required.

Essential Criteria:

Ph.D. degree level or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a commercial ruminant environment.
Knowledge of feed materials, feed additives, feed formulation and manufacturing.
Extensive knowledge of practical ruminant nutrition, management, production systems and health issues.

Travel Area: Upper Midwest

Reports To: Ruminant Director
