Addition of Dr. Sheilena Durbin Advances the Devenish Commitment to our Poultry Customers

As we move forward with our continued dedication to supporting the success of our customers through the growth of our team and a shared passion for knowledge, quality, and excellence, we announce the addition of Dr. Sheilena Durbin, Layer-Focused Poultry Veterinarian to the Devenish Poultry Team. Sheilena brings more than a decade of hands-on technical and field experience across all sectors of the poultry industry, further strengthening our team of poultry nutrition experts.

 

Originally from a rural area of northern Georgia, Sheilena grew up immersed in a poultry-centric community and knew from a young age that she wanted to become a veterinarian. She earned her B.S. in Agriculture in Avian Biology from the University of Georgia’s (UGA) Poultry Science Department, followed by her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from UGA’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Her background includes field-based poultry veterinary support through technical and consultative roles with top-tier, poultry-focused animal health companies.

 

In her new role, Sheilena will provide consultative veterinary support to layer producers, partnering with the Devenish team to translate flock health data into practical, science-backed solutions that improve performance, welfare, and profitability. She and her husband will reside in eastern Iowa with their three dogs and two cats.
